Blanca Aldaco opened her first restaurant in 1989 in the Historic St. Paul Square District. Aldaco’s is a favorite destination for San Antonians and visitors alike, known for our unique fresh cocktails, fresh authentic fare, exquisite desserts. We are also the pioneer of the Tres Leches Cake in San Antonio.
Blanca Aldaco is the founder of Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine at Stone Oak, Historic Sunset Station and the Dominion. An entrepreneur and restaurateur for more than 25 years, Blanca is easily recognized as she works alongside her staff and makes time to mingle with guests. Well-known for her cheerful conversation and friendly disposition, the patrons thoroughly enjoy Blanca's presence at their tableside.
A native of Guadalajara, Mexico, and a proud member of the Les Dames d’Escoffier, Blanca’s name has become synonymous with authentic Mexican cuisine
Her contributions have elevated the taste and style of the city’s cuisine offerings and have helped bring national recognition to San Antonio as the undisputed capital of Mexican food. She has been featured on the Food Network, Good Morning America, Discovery Channel and in several premier national magazines including New York Times, Texas Monthly, Taste of the South, Southern Living, Latina, Vanidades, San Antonio Express News, San Antonio Light and Better Home & Gardens just to name a few.
